My Desktop Experiment [19] using:

ObjectDock -

K-TEC Quick launch Bar (Bottom)
Reactor Tab (Top) (Integrated into ObjectDock)
Left 'Zoom' menu goes through my Tv Shows
and the right goes through my 130+ Games..

All of these docks (apart from the bottom quick launch bar) autohide so it really feels like an almost apple like experience like a tablet or touch tv.
